Welcome to the Mordecai CAC Parks web site. Currently our parks committee, in conjunction with the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, has been working hard on the renovations of the Mordecai Mini Park. This playground is located at the corner of Poplar Street and Blount Street, adjacent to Hope Elementary School, The Village at Pilot Mill, and Mordecai neighborhoods.
A big THANK YOU goes to the students from Raleigh Charter High School and the crew from Raleigh Parks and Recreation who spent a messy, rainy morning on November 14 volunteering and working hard at the Mordecai Mini Park. The landscaping workday was a big success, despite the nasty weather.
Please go by the park to see the beautiful landscaping that they installed. We now have many new trees, shrubs, grasses and flowers to add to our lovely little park. Plus, there are some "non traditional play elements" such as big rocks, logs, and tubes for the kids to climb on.
If you are using the park with kids, please be careful around the newly landscaped areas.
The park is OPEN! Please click here for pictures.
The parks committee is seeking donations to finish our portion of the funding.
